Joseph J. Savino is currently a candidate to represent the people of the 34th Senate District. Savino has dedicated his life working to make the Bronx a great place to live, work and raise a family. For seven years, Savino served as a key staff member of the New York State Senate working to bring millions of much needed dollars to the neighborhoods, little leagues, community and civic associations encompassing the 34^th Senate District in Bronx and Westchester Counties.

Savino gained the admiration of countless leaders from Westchester, the Bronx, as well as NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, because of his steadfast dedication to the community. Focusing on the quality of life of his neighbors, in his position with the New York State Senate, Savino worked closely with then counsel and current Eastchester Town Supervisor, Tony Colavita, Pelham Supervisor Joe Solimine and State Senators and Assemblymembers from both political parties to get the job done. Savino strongly believes that it is this ability to build consensus among people for the benefit of our families is exactly what is missing in our senate representation.

Savino plans to continue working with these community leaders to bring a new principled leadership to represent the district. Since leaving the NYS Senate's organization, Savino has witnessed the mass exodus of his neighbors to other parts of the state and abroad because of issues involving high taxes, education, and quality of life issues including crime and graffiti that plague our communities. Because of his years in the halls of the legislature, Savino knows the intricacies of Albany and is looking forward to navigating the labyrinth of the halls of the legislature to make our government work for us.

Savino is not new to public service. Aside from his many years as part of the NYS Senate, Savino served as a commissioner of the NYC Board of Election, and currently serves as the Bronx County GOP Chairman. Savino is a past president of the Morris Park Kiwanis, a benevolent organization responsible for countless projects, participant of the Throgs Neck Volunteer Ambulance Corps and officer of the Bronx Columbus Day Parade Committee

Savino completed his studies in Westchester, New York City and as well as England. Today, Savino hold a Bachelors Degree from Iona College in Criminal Justice and a Juris Doctor from the Cuny School of Law. Savino is a partner at the law firm of FagaSavino with offices across the New York City region.

A lifelong Bronxite, Savino is a member of St. Clares Roman Catholic Church, and lives with his wife Carri and their four children, Ava, Andrew, Joseph and Michael in the Country Club section of the Bronx.
